Apple Cider Vinegar Shampoo

from Maple Holistics

Real Ingredients, like this apple, make Maple Holistics products what they are

I’m sure the very kind people at Maple Holistics who offered me the opportunity to test and comment on their Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo wish I’d gotten this review together more quickly, but I’m actually glad I had to delay it.

For those of you who are bottom-line types, I like it, it cleaned the gunk from my hair without stripping it and it’s now part of my go-to hair care kit.

For the rest of you, here’s the story:

I was all ready to post this review when several things happened basically simultaneously. I got a stupid summer cold which kept me mostly down for a week, my elderly dog panicked, led the others on a wild romp through our garage and ended making my youngest dog so ill she had to go to the doggie emergency hospital. And finally, my elderly dog shuffled off this mortal coil.

As you can imagine, I had all sorts of gunk happening. I had fever-sweat, frustration-sweat, and fear-sweat, none of which lead to glorious looking hair. Each time, I jumped into the shower and used the Maple Holistics Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo as the first wash. Then, depending on circumstances I either went straight to conditioner or washed again (usually with Maple Holistics Silk-18). Despite all the not-so-nice things I was doing to my hair, the Apple Cider Vinegar shampoo cleaned me up nicely. And, as I said in the synopsis at the beginning, it didn’t strip my hair.

As with all the other Maple Holistics products I’ve tried, I enjoyed using this one. It has a nice light scent as well. I can really smell the Rosemary and Mint, with subtle hints of Apple Cider Vinegar.

And, since I seem to be posting only positive reviews for Maple Holistics, I will disclose that, other than gifting me with a bottle of shampoo or conditioner to try, I receive no other incentive from the company. I am not a reseller and do not profit in any way if you decide to try any of their products yourself, which I strongly urge you to do because so far, they’re all the bomb!
